Keyboard Warriors - The Command Bar

Overview

We added a ⌘K command palette. Navigate to any page, jump to any trace or entity by ID, search across your entire project, switch themes, create agents/prompts/datasets anything your heart desires, all without touching a mouse. It remembers where you've been, knows what page you're on, and surfaces contextual commands based on the current view.

We also hid a few easter eggs in there because what's the point of using your companies mandated LLM Ops platform if you can't have fun with it…

What You Can Do Now

Navigation

• Every page in LangWatch reachable from the bar — start typing and it filters down.

• Paste any ID (trace, span, agent_, prompt_, dataset_, evaluator_, workflow_, scenario_) and it opens directly.

• Search prompts, agents, datasets, workflows, and evaluators by name.

• Switch projects without going back to the home page.

Context-aware

• Your last 50 visited items show up when you open the bar, grouped by Today, Yesterday, Past Week, Past 30 Days.

• Page-specific commands based on where you are — on Traces you get view switching, date ranges, clear filters.

Shortcuts

• ⌘K to open. ⌘Enter to open in new tab. ⌘L to copy link.

• Type confetti, barrel roll, or 42 🗿 🥚

Live now. Press ⌘K.

Notes

• Entity searches only fire when the bar is open.

• Activity tracking is passive — no manual bookmarking.

• Disabled on admin and onboarding pages.
